Bed Floor Project on my 65
I was looking for something different to try on my 65'. I didn't want to spend $500+ on a floor kit because I'd be afraid to actually use the bed of my truck and that would defeat the purpose....I've been on a sign painting kick as a little bit of a hobby, so I decided to use 3/4 inch Cabinet grade Plywood for my truck bed and I'm painting it to look like the label of a bottle of Jack Daniel's.....
I was considering other logos to use, maybe an old Texaco Logo or Retro Chevrolet logo, but I don't think you can go wrong with JD. I used an old overhead projector to get the logo on the Plywood. I traced the logo and then painted afterwards. Hoping to be done by the end of this weekend...... |

That looks very cool. Maybe some satin polyurethane over it?

Re: Bed Floor Project on my 65
Got the panels installed today and now I just need to finish bolting it in...
It wasn't as easy as I had hoped, but it wasn't very hard either... Pretty glad with how it turned out... Now to figure out what I'm going to use as a clear coat... Headed to the hardware store now to try and figure it out... |
