I was looking at Paces online store and came across this. Check out that price - $21,454!!! How many ya'll want to order - LOL.

Getting a hold of one of these may be more difficult than hitting your state lottery. GM Performance Parts is proud to bring back a legend, if only for a limited time. The Ram Jet ZL1 is the ’69 ZL1 of the new millennium, with its revised aluminum block, a solid roller cam, large oval port aluminum cylinder heads, and the Ram Jet fuel injection system...that’s right, Fuel Injection. The Ram Jet ZL1 is ‘454 cid with a street friendly 10.2:1 compression ratio that will idle all day long, unlike its predecessor of the late 60’s. If you want a Ram Jet ZL1 get in line now, GM Performance Parts will be producing a very limited 200 of these all-aluminum Rat Motors for sale on the open market and I would be willing to bet Jay Leno already has his eye on one...make that 199!

I just want the valve covers for the 572, then ill build a big block motor around them.

21k for a motor seems a little steep.

It might be all aluminum. But 500 horses can be built for much less.

I paid 6k for my 502....502HP/567 lb/ft torque...92 octane...carb to pan with hyd roller cam and forged parts....more than enough for my truck.

It didn't even dip the front end...stock springs and shocks.

I think the price has to do with A) the EFI, self contained B) all alum. and C) the limited number of units. A must have for the guy that just HAS to have the ultimate.

I sure like the horsepower numbers on that 572ci motor - 620 and 720 depending on if it's the street/strip or the full race version!! I believe I could live with 620 hp.

i red about that in hot rod magazine and the said it was e remake of the 427 not a 454 it was the same price and all and they said everything even the valve covers were going to be numbered on these 200 engines so they should be very collectable for someone with some money lol....
