quick ?
i am swaping out 71 1/2 ton axle to 76 1 tons do i need to do any thing to my drive shaft ? if so what and thanks

Chances are the u-joint size on the 1 ton axles is larger than the 1/2 ton axles. You can get a conversion u-joint that has the both sizes to allow the use of your stock driveshafts. The other option (the strongest too) would be to have your drivelines rebuilt with the 1 ton size yokes, so that stronger u-joint could be used.

When I swapped in my semi-floater, I had to get a conversion u-joint and I had to re-drill the spring perches to move the axle back or the driveshaft was going to be too long. This had the advantage of centering the wheel in the wheelwell. I had a custom cv joint rear shaft built to order after the lift, so if you have a stock driveshaft and a lift you may not have to mess with that.

do you know the number of the conversion u-joint and have you had any vibration problems? any other tricks for the swap
