Talking Tire Trouble

I am looking for a tire and rim package for my 87 stepside. I cant seem to find a website or store for that matter that has a tire that will fit 20 in rims and have a low enough profile to it. Can anyone help!!!!!?????? I also want to go wider on the front and rear tires and put a 4 in static drop all the way around. Right now it sits the original stock ride height with 17's on it. Any type of feed back will be appreciated.

Stock tire OD's were 27.7 - 28.8" tall....
255-40-20's = 28" tall & work well on 20x8.5" wheels up front.
295-40-20's = 29.3" tall & work well on 9.5-10" wide rear wheels.

BF Goodrich, Toyo, Goodyear, & Dunlop are some popular sport-truck tire choices.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

They fill a fleet bed wheel well w/o issue using 5" of back-spacing; not 100% sure on a stepper. My guess is you'd be ok w/that mild drop.

Another possibility is going a little narrower on widths & adding some additional sidewall....

245-45-20's = 28.68 on the same 20x8.5" up front & 5-5.25" BS.
275-45-20's = 29.74 & would work well on a 20x9.5". Back-spacing would need to be confirmed w/someone having a similar truck. Best guess would be 4.5-5" BS should be about right.
