4Wheel disk brake question?
What is everyone using for the master and booster that have gone with the rear disks? Nice to find something that is a bolt on. Mine have been decent but the seals in the master go bad every once in a while.

Re: 4Wheel disk brake question?
Check out Frank on the board he goes by Pickmup. I have a 71 K20 that I converted to 4 wheel disc and he set me up with a firewall forward kit for a smoking price. Hope this helps.

Re: 4Wheel disk brake question?
I am just using an ebay hydro boost unit with a disc/disc master and proportioning valve. Works great till the power steering belt jumps off. hahaha

Re: 4Wheel disk brake question?
I have a CPP setup. Its an 8" dual diaphragm booster with what I believe is a corvette type master cylinder and an aftermarket proportioning valve.

Re: 4Wheel disk brake question?
Some pics of my setup, I really needed the hydroboost since my cam only makes about 8-9 inches of vacumm at idle in park and around 5-7 in gear.
I bought the master and prop valve from PirateJack, hoses were custom made, and the hydro boost was a new Ebay item. bolted up faily easily just had to cut and weld my brake rod

Re: 4Wheel disk brake question?
Mine was a kit from CPP. It came pre-assembled with bracket, booster, master cylinder and prop valve, and push rod. I had to modify the pushrod a bit to get the correct length and made a new hole in the pedal arm to mount the pushrod to. I also had to add two additional holes to the firewall to mount the bracket.
My rebuilt, stockish 402 big block pulls plenty of vacuum at idle so the vacuum diaphragm booster works well for me.

Re: 4Wheel disk brake question?
I used a K30 Booster/Master (Dual diaphram)(plumed oppisite of the 1/2ton master). My P-valve is still stock 1972. My disk brakes work but I still want to open up the P-valve and remove the guts for the rear and instal in-line adj. P-valve...or they even sell a replacement 4wheel disk p-valve a few have used...
