Any SPID decoders out there?
Is there a site that has all the SPIDs listed for our trucks? Back when I had my Camaro there was a site that allowed you to type in any SPID and it would pull up what option it was, anything like that for our trucks?

Re: Any SPID decoders out there?
RPO codes differ by year and vehicle line.
The 79-84 Light Truck parts books have a separated section of RPO codes in alphabetical order. The 85-91 parts books have RPOs but they're buried in the text. If you post a list I may be able to help you on the 79-91 trucks. I haven't scanned my 73-78 parts books yet. The other sets were around 3,000 pages each and took me 4-6 hours to scan. |

Re: Any SPID decoders out there?
It's true - RPO codes differ a little bit by model year, but here's a list to get you started.
http://www.chuckschevytruckpages.com...s_1973-87.html If you have any specific questions, ask away and we'll see if we can help. For example, if you had mentioned the model code on the SPID was for a C or K 10906 or 20906 we could have told you it was for a Suburban, rather than a pickup.... K

Re: Any SPID decoders out there?
Haha, thanks Keith. I assumed my glove box was original, pretty much nothing else is on the truck is though so that should have been a clue! Any way to get an original SPID sticker based of my VIN?

Re: Any SPID decoders out there?
Yep -
If you look here, you can download free information about your model year pickup - http://www.gmheritagecenter.com/gm-h...tion-kits.html And if you follow the instructions here, you can send your VIN (plus $50) and they can provide the specifc invoice and options for your exact truck: http://www.gmmediaarchive.com/ Once you have the RPO information you can get in touch with forum member Chipflyer and he can print you up a new label.
