Has any one used these people befor?

Well long story short wife now has a 85 long bed c10 and she wants ls power and reliability. She is looking for a 5.3 factory injected ls. I have done the swap befor on my burb but this one will be factory. The place uses current performance harnesses and reprogramed ecms. They look like i great deal. Just trying to get idea if that is a good price.

Re: Has any one used these people befor?

The main thing I see a problem with is the cost. The current price is $2200 for the engine and ECM-wiring. I bought a complete package from a salvage yard which included the engine, trans., wiring and all related accesories for $1600.00 and had the pcm re-programmed by Speartech for $850.00. Speartech did an awesome job on the re-wire and re-program because I have put over 5,000 miles on it since the swap and have had no problems. It fired right up and ran great from the beginning. It still runs great with a lot of low end torque and gets good fuel mileage.

The harness and ecm are already programed and rewired to do the swap.

Re: Has any one used these people befor?

eh, thats kind a moot point in some cases. Is the harness NEW or a factory harness rewire (I've never dealt with current)? What trans was the setup wired for?

To me "package" deals mean you pay for stuff you may or may not need, and if you make any changes you'll shoot yourself in the foot.

Any trans. They can do 4l60 or other types like that or no trans for a older style trans. Looks like a re worked harness.

Re: Has any one used these people befor?

for an aluminum block that doesn't sound too bad. Most of the prices I see fluctuate by several hundred depending on the mileage of the engine.

It looked like they were selling (1), didn't realize they would make it for whatever you wanted.

Still seems a little expensive imo
