GMC Headlight conversion update

I have found a couple of new items that will make the conversion easier for both the GMC and Chevy's.
First, Clean and functional connections for 3-prong self-contained headlights.
This pair of pigtails makes it easy to install 3-prong self-contained headlights into your GMC or Chevy. Each pigtail has the connecting plug and wires.

These can be used to have all 4 lights on at low and high beam.
on the GMC's.
The other part is for use on the Chevy's only using H4 conversion headlights.
If you have installed higher output bulbs, then you need this headlight conversion harness that will give you what you want--safely. It draws power directly from the battery, runs it through a relay, and then to the headlights, providing full power and eliminating the chance of a short circuit. It's made with TXL high temperature wire and comes with one weather-resistant 30-amp fuse and two 40-amp weather-resistant relays, capable of handling up to 150 watts. It'll work on any 2-headlight vehicle using dual filament sealed beams or H4 headlight conversions.

COOL. 4 headlights all the time. Is this just a unplug/plug type install? Is that 13.99 to do both sides?

If you want to run the 4 headlight setup, you have to do a little modifying of your harness. The 13.99 get you the 3 prong connectors to use on the inside lights (hi beams). When you install a headlamp conversion that uses the H4 bulbs you can have all 4 lights on at lo and hi beam. To do this you here is what gmc67swb wrote to me about his setup:

THE LOWS, AS YOU PROBABLY KNOW, ARE THE OUTSIDE LIGHTS AND THE HIGHS ARE ALL 4.THE OUTSIDE LIGHTS PLUG RIGHT IN(3 PRONG).ONE PRONG IS FOR GROUND, ONE FOR LOW BEAM AND ONE FOR HIGH BEAM. THE INSIDE ARE 2 PRONG(ONE GROUND AND ONE HIGH BEAM) AND REQUIRE TRIMMING OFF THE TOP FOR THE 3RD PRONG TO FIT OVER(THIS LEAVES IT EXPOSED, BUT I HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS YET-1 YEAR AND COUNTING). IF YOU WANTED YOU COULD GET THE SAME PLUG AS THE LOW BEAMS AND COVER THE 3RD PRONG ON THE BULB(NOT USED) OR YOU COULD WIRE THEM TO HAVE 4 LIGHTS ON IN LOW BEAM (JUMPING FROM THE LOW BEAM WIRE TO THE TOP PRONG ON THE BULB)AND 4 IN HIGH BEAM.
With the new 3 prong connectors, you can easily jump from the other low beam wire. Then connect the original high beam wire to the new connector as well.

Do not perform the mod with out using relays. Your headlight switch will not be able to handle all 4 lights at one time.
