Re: tint?
I have 20% on the back window and 35% on the sides. My son likes 20% 0n the sides of his vehicles, but it makes me feel like I am in a cave and when you want to back up in the dark, forget it, without rolling the windows down.
Our county mounties love to ticket for that stuff--it is easy pickings for them--they don't have to apply a lot of logic to the process.

Re: tint?
On my daily driver I have 5% on the side windows, and double 5% on the rear doors and back window. I like dark windows
On my 84, I am doing all clear. For some reason I like that look on a older bagged truck. But in general, to answer your question, I think a nice 20-35% on the sides would look good. Same on the back or maybe 5% on the rear. I thinks your truck would look good with tint. |

Re: tint?
If you search around 3M now has a nearly clear film which has an effective tint. It is very expensive, and I don't know if it is proven yet, but it sounds like a good idea. I don't like stick on tint because of the reflection you get on the inside of the window at night, and my rear window show the refection of the hood in day time. The factory tint like on the new vehicles is the best way to go.

Re: tint?
I just have my back window done with 20, I want to do the side glass and a visor would be nice too but theres scratches on my side glass and I know it would show in the tint. Gotta get some better glass first.

Re: tint?
5% for the back, and 25% for the doors and wings.... although it's illegal here in California to have ANY sort of tint on the front windows... but, oh well
It really helps, especially in the summertime... it makes the air stay cooler, when I run the A/C

Re: tint?
sweet, it looks mint. The 70s and 80s gm cars that had rally wheels usually had color keyed wheels right out of the factory. Wonder why they never bothered with the trucks, it just brings it together.

Re: tint?
I think there was a guy selling them on here a while ago. There were tri bars that fit the factory centers and you just had to drill a mounting hole I think. Heres some maybe you can make work for you.http://www.spinnercenter.com/bolton-...9c82f845eaf40f

Re: tint?
The pickup is 20% sides and rear. The blazer is 20% fronts, factory "privacy" tint on the quarters. Not sure what the rear is---25/30%

Re: tint?
You ever get hassled from the law?? My folks got pulled over for having theirs tinted up on their Altima.. by a CHP. Had to pay the fine, and pull em off..sucks
I got stopped in my square once, and was verbally warned, by a Sheriff, around my neighborhood (in the city), which was weird,.... but no ticket.

Re: tint?
I have 5% the sides and back, and 50% on the windshield... on both my trucks...
the only time I have a problem is driving in AZ, I get pulled over every time and get a "warning" no fine, nothing to do. crazy thing is they have this think the put over your side glass, it shines light threw and tell them what percent your tint is... here is Vegas I've never even had it brought up.
