New to me 1967 Suburban!

I am sooooooo excited, I have always wanted a suburban and this one just fell into my lap. My wife came home from picking the kids up the other day and said you have to come see this cool car that your son showed me behind his school. I jumped into the car and she drove me behind the school where this was sitting hidden in a backyard with a faded for sale sign in it. Well a little gas in the carb and $1,000 later it is mine!

So I also found a set of slot mags for $200 that I want to know your opinions on. Will they enhance or distract from this suburban? I plan on driving it as is for awhile but wanted to upgrade the tires and rims for cheap.

with all of the above. Nice rig and the slots are a classic look. They polish up nicely with a little (lot) of hard work

I think mags look great on burbs. Here is a pic I snagged off the board awhile back. No idea who it belongs to.

Re: New to me 1967 Suburban!

congratulations on your new old burb!
It looks really solid from what the picture shows, and I bet it will clean up really nice with just some elbow grease.

I'd like to see a whole lot more photos of it to! I am curious about the interior, and the engine compartment, and, and, and

Re: New to me 1967 Suburban!

Okay, Okay... Picture hogs Here are some more shots. Thanks for the comments and for the Mag wheels shots, those sold me for sure. Now Portheadlight you need to give me the lowdown on how to polish them up! Gotta love the cupholders huh? Also can someone tell me about the throttle knob beneath the choke? I have never seen one of those on these trucks before.

On the hubcap, only got one and I need it to go on my spare I am mounting on that saweet front bumper spare mount

Re: New to me 1967 Suburban!

So I picked up the mags and quickly sat them next to the Burb before dark. I have to go pickup some mag lug nuts tomorrow so I can get them mounted up. Pictures to follow once she is wearing the new shoes but hear was my preview. I LOVE THEM! I also threw the front spare on just to get a shot of how she started..
