should i keep the original springs?

I have a 1954 chevy pickup. it has the original leaf springs that have never been touched. When it is sitting still, the springs are completely flat(no arch whatsoever).

I can get the current leafsprings rearched or, for about $400 more, i can get all new springs made and maybe even have a few leafs added.

any suggestions on which one to do?

For the cost of re-arching.. you should be able to buy a new pair for a few dollars more if that. That is the route I would take personally. If you re-arch the old ones, you would also want to replace the bushings more than likely as well.
