anyone use a eastwood175 mig
Ive been searching for a while for a welder for my house. Was wondering if any one on here had any experience with the Eastwood175 big. Seems like a bargain. Bit it may be a waste of money. We use Lincolns exclusively at work. But I really dont how the cash to throw down on a powermig at the moment. Any comments are welcome

Re: anyone use a eastwood175 mig
I'm interested also. I have a nice Millermatic Autoset that I got a while ago - BEFORE the Eastwood ones are available. So just wondering what the quality is of the Eastwoods because their prices are economical. I've always believed you get what you pay for, but sometimes technology trumps that. Miller was first at bringing home units to our hobby with very high quality - but they're still a bit pricey.
Main reason I'm asking is I may someday buy a tig setup or a plasma cutter - so am interested in general impressions of ANY Eastwood metalworking products. If one's good, then they probably all are pretty good. |

Re: anyone use a eastwood175 mig
I was considering the Eastwood 175 but because of tight money situations and what I was going to need a welder for, I went with the Eastwood 135 and so far I'm loving it. I'm new to mig welding and I find it very easy to work with.
The infinite settings allows me to dial it in very good for sheet metal and the quality seems to right up there with any other brands out there. The 175 is just that much better in that you can weld aluminum but for my use, the 135 is perfect. |

Re: anyone use a eastwood175 mig
I have the Eastwood 135 model, and have no complaints with it. I don't do a lot of heavy welding though. I've been using it for sheet metal, and I've used it to weld some fence pipes, and it's been working great for me.
