roof panel

Does anyone know where i could get a roof skin for my 79 blazer? Maybe some help from the southern and western guys on here for salvage yards..Have a 79 with 49,000 miles been sittin in a barn for over 25 year in primer and torn apart. The PO cut a hole for a sunroof in the roof. Need to replace... The sunroof was used also. Any help would be just wonderful

Re: roof panel

most of the body shop guys i spoke to recomended cutting the top off a truck or blazer and patching the areas needed. with the exception of the last inch and rear radius of the cab the metal is the same or at least thats what i was told. the only place i've found the metal is at a salvage yard. i havent found any new repair panels.

Re: roof panel

I do but you should check a local yard like Rhodes Auto first. http://rhodesautosss.com/
Most salvage yards can source parts from other yards and save you on shipping. Most roofs even in northern states are the same condition imho.
