To C-Notch or Not to C-Notch?

Opinions? If I have all matching numbers will it kill the value?

My .02...its all up to you...how low do you want to go.
Value...only if its all number matching stock. There is always a buyer for everything..
Check out some of the build thread here..and some of the pictures...

Re: To C-Notch or Not to C-Notch?

I would also take into account how low you want to go and what the truck will get used for. In my case I will use mine as a truck and will tow with it, so c-notching was out of the question. A driver cruiser then a c-notch would be OK. Be careful because insurance companies may consider a c-notch as frame damage, I have seen it happen on later trucks when I was at a GMC dealer.

If you drop it, the notch is just nice insurance and pretty easy to do. Only takes one good shot on the hwy to jar your teef loose.

Ummm... I believe those caps are later model, the wheels would have been white, and the mirrors and bumpers ARE stock correct. ...just sayin'

to answer your question, I think it would only hurt the value to notch it if it were a 71-72 cheyenne super big block short box. Otherwise it's OK. These aren't Camaros and Chevelles.

Nice looking truck. I'd drive it at the height it is.
