Manitoba Grey bucket seats & center console

Grey bucket seats and center console.

Came out of my 85 truck crew cab.

Doubt whether seats are original, console might be, but I have no idea.

Any reasonable offer will be accepted.

Locally only as shipping would probably not be worthwhile considering the weight and size of the seats.

I would guess they are the correct seats, but not for an '85.
I believe the pattern stayed the same on the Suburbans for '88, then changed with the front-end/grill and body trim details for '89-91.
Not really sure about crews?
I saw a '91 crew for sale and the the seats looked like what would have been in a mid-80's crew; those might have been swapped in later, but I think I have seen it enough times to make me think that crews stayed with the pattern until they changed bodies in '92?
YMMV!

Re: Manitoba Grey bucket seats & center console

Hi. I am currently changing my interior from tan to black/silver. Would these seats and center console fit in my '83 K10 shortbox? Any hardware needed? I currently have a tan bench seat and want a center console and buckets. I live in Belcourt, ND about a 3 hr drive. Please let me know. Thanks, Ray

Re: Manitoba Grey bucket seats & center console

Hi Don't know whether they would fit in the 83 K10. There were some bent metal pieces on the floor that these matched onto. The seats I've replaced them with fit onto the same metal pieces. So my guess is the seats and metal pieces are common to the 85 trucks. Maybe someone here knows whether they would fit youir 83 k10.

You can see some of the attaching pieces in this post http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...1&postcount=29

How are your current seats attached to the k10?

If you send me measurements for the holes the seats have to match, I'll go out and measure them up.

Re: Manitoba Grey bucket seats & center console

No they will not match up to the holes in the floor if you had a bench seat before....but you can weld up new mounts onto your floor so the bucket seats will sit properly.

I did this following the template that Jeff had on his other website at www.73-87.com

There are a couple of threads on this forum as well that describe what to do.

Re: Manitoba Grey bucket seats & center console

Ray, if you want to do the work mentioned above to use these seats and center piece, and will drive up here to pick them up, I'd consider a reasonable offer to be "free to you for taking them out of my garage". I don't know for sure, but you might have some fee at the border when you take them back across, unless some kind of exemption applies. For example, we get to bring different amounts of goods back duty free if we've been in the states for designated periods of time.

Wink Re: Manitoba Grey bucket seats & center console

Hey, sorry for not getting back to you right away, I was away from the computer. I appreciate the responses. I currently have a bench seat in my truck so i would need to somehow switch the brackets. I just stripped down a junked out 84 k10 with perfect factory black interior. The dash is flawless (even the speaker vents are unmolestered!), nice silverado door panels, near perfect header with all the trim, visors and all, the works for a good price. So I'm thinking about changing my interior from tan (it's alittle worn) to this black. I was just needing some gray buckets, then I seen yours.

I'm not a real handy kind of guy, so switching or making brackets might be a problem for a guy like me. I do work in a job where we have a weilding class, so maybe the guy there could help, but I'd have to be very clear with the instructions. so idk?

I live less than 15 miles from the port of entry, maybe I could check with them about what it might cost to bring those bench seats across.

I really appreciate the "free to you" offer, and I hope that I can somehow take you up on that offer and then trade you for something of equal value.

I would really like to have buckets seats in my K10. My bench seat is getting soft/bouncy and I would also like to have a center conse for my favorite beverage!!

Thank you.

Ray

OK. If the border fee looks ok, and you want to tackle the hardware/connecting them to the truck part, let me know if you would like the seats and console.

Re: Manitoba Grey bucket seats & center console

These are still here in case anyone is able to pick them up. If so, free to the person picking them up. Wife wants them out of the garage.

Re: Manitoba Grey bucket seats & center console

the factory bench braket bolts usally line up with the outside two bucket braket holes
and the pieces to hold "the inners" can be made ez or removed from a burb
