New to the site still/ New old truck 55 Chevy 3600 2nd series

Hey, I'm still new to this site here and I was hoping someone could help me find some parts for my 1955 Chevy 3600 2nd Series. It was a single wheel wih a pickup bed on it. But it has been converted to a dually and also has a homemade wrecker bed on it with a Ernest Holmes hand crank winch. I'm looking to find an old twin boom wrecker bed on it if I can find one here. I'm wanting to make it all orignal from the motor to the trans to the interior. Here's some pics of it and heres a list of some of the things I need for my truck for now both fenders, front bumper, and the piece that goes right underneath the grill.

That thing is a relic!! very cool. A guy in my area has a retired 57' wrecker and I soooo want it, but have too many projects.
The front valance (under grill piece) is only like $100 reproduced new, and a bumper is only around $150 + shipping the fenders are best found locally as they are $500-ish each.

shop around, I use www.classicparts.com
but www.lmctrucks.com and www.brotherstrucks.com also carry parts, as well as others. Congrats on the purchase!!! These trucks are true pieces of timeless history!

I agree. Slap a new pair of fenders, and find a more solid bed. I have always though about buying a late 70's-early 80's wrecker and using the more modern bed on one of these trucks!

but thats on the list of 100 projects I'd buy if I could afford them...

I already have 4 projects, and that's probably 2 or 3 too many haha

Yeah after I get this truck restored here. I'm gonna look for a 58 or a 59 GMC 300 and make that one as a wrecker as well.

Welcome.
Cool truck. You need to do a build thread on your progress.
