454 Oil Pressure

So my 350 had a nipple fitting into the block behind the intake manifold, which had a metal hose covered in rubber that led to a metal line through the fire wall. I thought this was a vaccum gauge and cut it(crap). So now my issue is how to set up oil pressure lines for mechanical oil pressure gauge in 76 GMC pick up? I don't know where to plug in at, how to run the line so it doesn't leak etc. Thanks in advance

Re: 454 Oil Pressure

Well best thing to do is get a new oil line usually all the parts stores have them in either plastic or copper hose either works ok copper is better . The line kits sometimes have the fittings in them if not im sure you can piece everything togather or just buy a cheap gauge kit for $15 should have everything in it.

Re: 454 Oil Pressure

Oil pressure line fitting will go right above the oil filter below head.
