hi. i have a 67 chevy short step with coil spring suspention. the rear end is off center. it has a new o.e. track bar and everything looks to tight and centered. could the track bar frame bracket be bent, or would the trailiong arm bushings have something to do with it.

what exactly is off center in the rear and by how much?? is it the distance of the tire to the frame?? that can be caused by having 2wheels with different offset. is it that the universal is not centered in the frame?? let us know what your measuring and what that measurement is

Welcome to the club.
If the truck has been lowered, and your installing a stock bar, then it will do that.
You'll either need stock springs, or an adjustable tracking bar.
If you ARE at stock height...then you definatly have a problem...

i was measuring from the bedside to the outer edge of the tire. the rims and tires are identical on both sides, and the bed is on perfect straight and even on both sides. the truck is dog legging and i think the frame is bent or the track bar braket may be bent. haven't had a chance to get the frame checked yet.

A better measurement would be from the frame to the rim/backing plate. After all the suspension rides on the frame not on the bed. Believe me it is not easy but it can be done. I put lowered coils and an adjustable track arm on my '67 and I had to play with it quite a bit before I got it right.

I'm fighting the same thing. I bought the lowering kit with springs, shocks and adjustable panhard bar. Just keep adjusting til your pumpkin is centered. Good luck, Scott
