Rear mounted battery?

....Basically I want a acces door to the floor mounted battery tray, holder...thing-ah-ma-jig? It would be located in the rear somewhere behind the rear axle? *What are your thoughts on this idea?*

I'm building mine in the spare tire well since I don't use a spare and if I did it won't fit there. Lol just an idea

Gas tank takes up a good portion of the area behind the rear axle in a Burb, Panel, or Blazer.
