Pedal car project..
Here are a few pictures of my daughters old pedel car I have modified into a push car for my new nephew. I removed the pedals and lowered the wheels with internal brackets. I also welded in a steel floor. I still need to weld in some sort of removable push handle to the back of it.

That is very clever. It never would have occurred to me to move the wheels outboard. It looks really zoomy, and should be a hit at the local car shows.
I rebuilt a similar Murray back in the early 70’s. The green one was for my niece and the red one for my oldest son. Although the photo is tired the one of the left was leftover hideous lime green with Ford bright blue flames. The red one had a broken front axle so I swapped in the steering crossmember from a “late model” Mustang, and for the gasser look it got tricycle spokes for the front. The little kid in the picture is now 40 and still owns and cherishs both pedal cars. Childhood bonds can last a lifetime.

Finished up the push car today. Put in a full floor and a removable handle. I made a mini truck reciever with a pin and all for the handle in the back. Nephew should have fun with this.

Sorry I didn't take any during cutting up part. Pretty easy though just drilled through body and cut off axles and rewelded onto inner structure. Welded floor to underside structure. I was able to not weld to the body at all.
