Drivetrain swap
I am looking to swap the front and rear diffs and the transmission from a 1980 SWB chev into a 1986 chev K5. What sort of headaches am I going to have? The K5 is an auto, so I know there is going to be a fair bit of choppy choppy with my floor, what I am most interested in are how easy the diffs will be to switch over.

Re: Drivetrain swap
The axles are a direct swap. The only problem you may have is the rear shaft.

Re: Drivetrain swap
I won't have an issue with widths and leaf spring mounts? I can get the shaft shortened/extended easily at one of the driveline shops in town.
