Inner rocker panel repair, Help
So I'm making head way on my Cab repair. My body guy says i need more body panel parts. I loaded a page from LMC to help point out what im talking about. I purchased Part # 4 ( Cab floor Rear ) but i'm needing the piece in front of that. So, would I have to buy the Floor pan and cut out the piece i need. But, I also see that its only the front half.
I think I need to buy #7 but I already purchased the rear half of that. so, Im kind of shying away from that. |

Re: Inner rocker panel repair, Help
Ask your body guy if you wanna play it safe! I know # 7 is a nice piece to have when doing inner rockers after getting th cheaper version that was $10.00 just inner not par of floor. I would be willing to pay price if I had to get it done again! I know I would buy from Top Banana which is a vendor here cause LMC seems like a joke price are as high in my book and quailty is down from hat I have delt with them on. Just my .02

Re: Inner rocker panel repair, Help
if you need the part that is forward of '4' then you need part '3'. that piece is the remaining forward mate to '4', it also includes the whole front floor panel. going with '7' would give you about 3" of floor from firewall to rear cab along with the inner rocker panel. (half of this you already have). I hope this all makes sense..lol..I just read it and it sounds a bit nutty

I also have to agree with brans72. no. 7 is a great piece to go with..however, sometimes you just need a bit more floor then it gives you. also, top banana =

Re: Inner rocker panel repair, Help
I bought several of those floor pieces from top banana. Great to deal with and good pricing. The part #7 I got was noticably thicker metal than any other part they shipped. #3 was "flimsy".

Re: Inner rocker panel repair, Help
that might explain why '3', for being such a big chunk of floor, is so inexpensive. I wonder if it was a different brand ?

Re: Inner rocker panel repair, Help
Live and learn. The nice parts are made by Keyparts/triplus. the floor was unlabeled. ALL parts are taiwan.
KC- if the body guy doesnt need more than was is included with 7, It may just be worth it.
