4/4 Drop Question

I was wondering if anyone has done a 4/4 drop on their truck. If so, can you post pictures of it? I took one coil out of a pair of stock coils, but I think the stock springs were a little old and sagging. they ended up being too low with the drop spindles about (5.5" or more of total drop).

I only had about 1" from the lowest part of the control arm to the ground. I changed out the rear tires to match the front since then, but if someone can post a 4/4 drop pics, it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 4/4 Drop Question

I am very close to the 4/4 mark I did the 4 inch drop springs in the rear and did a 2 1/2 drop spindel along with a 1 inch drop spring. At this point I do not have an engine in the truck so it is sitting a bit high in the front.

BTW LOVE the 8 ft fleet ... YEA !!!

here is what mine looked like waaay back when. It had sagging rear springs, they where almost touchin coil to coil, and it had cut fronts.

Re: 4/4 Drop Question

Thanks for the shots, keep them coming guys. Another question off topic is do new lowering springs settle over time?

Re: 4/4 Drop Question

Does anybody have a pics of 2.5" spindles and 4" coils in the rear? I'm trying to clear some 20"s on my 66 c10 swb fleetside but still want the truck lowered.

Re: 4/4 Drop Question

GMR-PERFORMANCE I love the rims, where did you get them? Keep the pictures coming guys, I am debating whether to cut to get a 4.5" or keep it at a 4" drop.

Re: 4/4 Drop Question

Stockton, . There is a post if you do a search about all of the things that wnet wrong on that deal. They charged up front, lied to me, I waited 6 or 7 month for my rims, they sent the wrong offset once etc. WHen I did get them they had blasted them for me, they had hammer marks, extra weld with the wire still stuck to the rim, A ton of sand packed into the seams.. It was a total PIA to get them ready for to prime them and get them smooth... once that was done they came out great.. I really am happy with the look, so on that side of the coin the final product looks killer.. but the hassle I went though was just plain poor customer service..

There was many others that posted up about how bad there dealings with stockton where as well.
