Re: Lamp "Over Speed"

It means someone prolly stuck a dash lamp into the wrong hole-the overspeed indicator was used only on big(1 1/2 ton-up) trucks with the rev limiter.

Re: Lamp "Over Speed"

There are 2 lights that aren't normally on. The 'overspeed' and if i remember
something about brakes rings a bell. Anyways, when i changed my dash out for a full guages instead of idiot lights, i screwed up. There were 2 cardboard tubes with a dark green cover on one end. The open end popped into the back of the lens and just stayed there. It might have gone all the way to the circuit board back. That way the light from the dash bulbs can't pass through the green and light up the lens. I didn't put those back on. Just forgot about it till i turned on the lights, then magically i had two previously unlit lights light up. I'm probably gonna put two stickers of some sort on them, till i tear it apart again. They are fairly bright.

Re: Lamp "Over Speed"

I used the google search feature at the top of the forum and typed "over speed".
This thread was top on the list.

The gauge cluster I got with some other stuff had the "Over Speed" light.

Thanks for the answer.
