56 3100 front fender brace.
I took them off twenty years ago to repair the fenders, now that its going back together, I have forgotten where it attaches. I know it bolts to the lower fender lip, but where does the other end go? Anyone have pictures. This brace is often missing and you will see the fender turn under without it. Thanks for your help.

Re: 56 3100 front fender brace.
dwcsr-I borrowed your pic.
I think he means the one that looks like a rod that bolts to the lip of the fender. If I remember it the other end bolts to the hole I circled in red.

Re: 56 3100 front fender brace.
Thanks for the replies, it is the rod one, has an eye for a bolt on one end that fastens to the lower fender lip, and threaded on the other end, and bolts somewhere, the where is what I cannot remember. Red line is where I think it goes. Does it bolt to the cab inner wall, the fender well wall, or the frame, thinking not the frame as it would flex and bend the fender.

Re: 56 3100 front fender brace.
that might be it, there are actually two braces per side, the upper one bolts to the inner fender.

Re: 56 3100 front fender brace.
Yes, one should go to the hole on the firewall flange where I circled.
Thats sound like it would make sence about the other brace going to the inner fender.

Re: 56 3100 front fender brace.
I just went and looked at my front fenders and there is only one tab on the fender for the brace. I didn't see where there would be two.
