Cool Sm-465 ?

Picked up a 1969 c10 SWB step side 2wd with the common rust in the rockers and cab corners. I have a SM-465 that was in a log truck behind a straght 6. I'm thinking that this would be kind of cool and fun in the 69' behind a 350. Other than changing to a high hump center in the cab, would this be a bolt and play project, or a cut pray project?

Re: Sm-465 ?

My truck originally came with an SM420 behind a 292. I have switched to a 350 and kept my transmission. The bell housing matched perfectly to the 350 and being that my truck was originally with the 420, I did not need a different driveshaft or crossmember. The engine is in the further back position now but everything fits perfectly. The 420 is very similar to the 465 so I hope this helps. And I agree...the four speed gives it some character.
