Quick hub cap question

Could anyone tell me if this older style cap(beautiful green truck) will fit or can be made to fit the later model steel wheel (crappy primered truck)

Re: Quick hub cap question

it will fit without modification. both are of the 10+1/8" variety. I have both caps above - and they both fit on my stock 66 chev steelies. It will not fit over the 4wd hubs though. You'd need a 64-66 truck 4wd front hub cap (has a hole just like the later models in your pic above does)

JUST to clarify, since I can't really tell in the 4wd yellow pic - I'm ASSUMING those are 6 lug steelies of the 6 or 8" wide variety. If, by chance, those a re 3/4 ton (8 lug) on the yellow truck - then those caps are around 12" and the ones on the green truck will not fit those. If both have an approximate 10+1/8" measurement outer nub to outer nub, then you are good to go.

Re: Quick hub cap question

They are 6 lug wheels. If they fit, I was planning on hole sawing out the fronts if I cant find the correct ones. Thanks Jocko

Re: Quick hub cap question

yep, that should work, however, might check the for sale ads for some 4wd front caps to avoid a jagged edge. I'd bet dollars to donuts that if there aren't any for sale on the board here that tony at 4-5-6 has a pair laying around (don't quote me on that, but he might be able to help). http://www.4-5-6chevytrucks.com/
