gas pedal switch/kickdown?
71 c 30, there is wires going to a switch which contains a plunger that is actuated by the gas pedal when depressed..is this a kickdown switch or something else?

Yes, it is the kickdown switch for the T400 transmission

I see that now...use to the cable on the 350..any conversions available to this or must this switch be used..I have not looked under it yet and this is my first 400

TH 400 all are electric kickdown
