You could try ordering online. After the order is placed, they call you, usually the next day to tell you the cost including shipping. Pretty sure that you can back out of the order at that time when you are talking to a real live person. Their phone system must be set up to block out of country calls?

i tried that but the view online catalogue and order catalogue are different. on the view online catalogue i can find steering hose kit 63-14401 and cant find that part on the order online catalogue.

If the vendor hasn't requested ( I guess or paid for it ) the 800 number is only good in the USA. I am going to So Cal in April ( and I'll be driving) for the Pomona Swap Meet and was planning on visiting "The Truck Shop" while there so if the time line works for you I'll be glad to bring some parts back for you. I'm not very happy with the truck shop at this moment. I got a gift certificate for my bday a few years ago, and they will not accept it online, over the phone or at the swap meets. Then the other day I ordered a new float and a filter for my sending unit. 2 very small items, they wanted to charge me $10.00 shipping and handling. I told them to cancel my order. They have a shipping tab on their site when you order, but it just says 0. They really need to update their business....

I've had a bad experience with them as well, I placed an order online and received a confiirmation email with my total and shipping. The next day I got a call from them confirming my order but the total was $14 more. I asked why and they told me that their online prices are reference only. I told them to cancel my order but they shipped it anyways. I had to talk to several "supervisors" to get them to adjust the prices. I won't be ordering from them anymore.

The store is technology challenged.

But, they have one of the best inventories around.

I go there in person every once in a while with a list of 20 or so items, and I never call ahead to see if they have it in stock (1 hour drive).

I leave every time with my list fully checked off, and bags of stuff going home with me.

I have been buying parts from all the usual big players for years, and everyone of them have some sort of quirk that can piss a customer off.
So I shop around when it comes to big ticket items where shipping can be a huge factor, since every shop has a different policy towards shipping costs it seems.

they have the 63-68 ram assist steering hoses in their inventory and nobody else has them. that why its so imortant for me but i believe member already gone is going to pick them up for me on his trip south.
