help please
My '79 has 1 1/2" diff. in height when measured from wheel opening to ground on front fenders. Found 3/16 lower on pass. side at core support (no prob. i can shim with a washer) also found 5/8 lower from center of bolt at lower control arm bushing. i know when you replace these bushings your supposed to tighten them with the weight of the truck on them. Being these are old is it possible the pass side my have twisted from wear giving me a lower measurement on that side? Gap at pass. fender to door is big at top closed at bottom, like the front of the fender needs raised. Sorry for the long post but i need to fix this before i install the NOS hood. Thanks.

Re: help please
Could it be a problem with the coil springs?

Re: help please
thats what i thought , so since they were the originals that came with a 350 and i put in a 454 i installed new BB springs, they raised the front end a bunch but still the same side to side, since they raised it so much i cut 1 1/2 coils off yesterday and although it did lower it, still same diff. don't really know what else it could be. seems that if the bushings are worn on one side and they spun a little it might be the answer but i don't really know.

Re: help please
Are you sure you cut the springs in the same spot? If you cut one a little short then the other it could explan the 3/16.

Re: help please
Everything looks good, the distance from the rubber bumper to the crossmember seems to be where the difference is , that could really only be the coils, but the old onse and the new ones(before and after cutting) all had the difference. i'm stumped
