A little firewall help
Here's a pic of my firewall, can someone tell me what the two holes in the center of the engine bump are for? I can't see any use for them in my reference pics.

I think one is for the oil guage tubing and the other holds part of the heater/ac.

On my 1970 chevy c10 the one to left of center has nothing coming through the firewall, can see jute pad. The one to the right of center has a screw coming through the firewall which could help hold a bracket attached to a part of the heater box.

If your talking about the small holes at centerline on my 71 they were a rubber barb sort of thing that held the insulation to the inside of the fire wall. cheers, Pat

Thanks for the replies. I'd forgotten about the heater box under the dash.. I'm going to fill all the unused holes to clean up and smooth the firewall. Thanks again!
