Re: a little help on cab bolts

I don't think it was that way on the 67, but on my 72, the front cab bolts were welded to the floor. I had to cut them out.

Re: a little help on cab bolts

i've used a 3-4foot piece of pipe over the breaker bar to loosen the nuts and remove them/ then once getting the nuts off grind the welds holding the heads in place to remove the bolts

Re: a little help on cab bolts

I heated mine, till cherry red with small plumbing torch with mapp gas. Then used a cheater bar. Three came out just fine the fourth just snapped. After looking at the one that snapped it was rusted down to about and eigth of an inch thick in the center.lol...So even if you have to snap them it will be the easiest way to get them off. Good Luck whatever way works for you.

Re: a little help on cab bolts

I have pulled many cabs and I noticed that you have better luck loosening the nut from the bottom rather than trying to turn the bolt from the top. I think the cab mount bushing adds extra friction on the bolt. If that doesn't work...victor (torch)
