Look what I got in the mail today!
UPS Driver just dropped these off. The axles will be going in my truck later today. First I need to go pick up some 5 lug rims and tires. The tailgate is going back to Early Classic. It needs almost as much work as my original. Do those UPS people use hammers or what? I'll post before and after pics when I am done.
BTW, anyone have any 1" or 1 1/2" lowering blocks for coils laying around they want to sell? Truck could stand to be a little lower. Keep on Truckin' Jay

Let us know how the swap goes...I'm tempted to start saving my pennies and dimes to get those, some 5-lug front rotors, and some 17's or 18's.

Well the rear axles went in pretty smoothly. Except messing with the rear drum brakes what a PAIN!! Here is a picture of the ugly beast with 4 matching rims. Yes I will be lowering down the back after I get a gas tank and mount it under the bed. While the bed is off I plan to get it sand blasted and Rhinolined or X lined (one of those bed covers). Maybe even do some body work!
For those that are interested here are the parts that I used: 67' axles from Early Classic ~ $319+ shipping 72' rear drums $20 72' rear shoes $60 That is it! Oh yeah, make sure you have a couple extra cans of brake clean around, enough rear end juice, 5 lug wheels, 10 lug nuts, and some RTV. It sucks going to the store smelling like 30 year old rear end juice!
