1962 c010 longbed found in town

Went to visit a buddy yesterday and noticed this 62 c-10 longebed sitting out front. My buddy says parked since 2004. Stopped by, no one home....snapped a couple of pics, but didn't want to pry to much. Looks pretty complete and solid. Hoping to catch someone in and see if interested in selling idf the price is right. Thought I'd share some pics.

Also....original bench seat and upholstery still in truck, dummy lights not guages, no idea on engine or trans yet, but definitely has both installed, all glass good, original hubcaps and hood emblems in place, rockers and cab corners looked solid...but didn't get to look underneath at the cab supports, foot of leaves in bed, so couldn't tell the condition of wood. Interior looked unmolested except for the aftermarket turn signals installed on the steering coloumn, radio was missing. Has an older GM hood ornament, but not the correct one. Shame to see it parked...looks like its a runner from the outside condition. Will update once I make contact with the owner.

That truck is right around the corner from a co worker of mine. The last time I saw it on the road was August of 2010, and took a couple pics of it and talked to the guy that owned it. The next time I saw it was on craigslist last year for 2900, and I think its been sitting in the guys yard ever since. I heard he had moved to Raliegh and just left the truck there along with an old Comet or something that was sitting beside it.

If I remember right the guy told me got the truck out of a junkyard and got it fixed up and running and then it took him about two years of red tape with the dmv to finally get a title for it, but that he finally got it all straightened out and was using it as his daily driver. I do remember it was a good running truck at the time. I have stopped by there to talk to the guy but I dont think anyone lives there any more. The outside lights were on but I've never seen anyone there.

Yeah...theres a ford next to it...thought it was a fairlane...didnt pay it much mind. Doesn't look like it'd take much to get it going, but $2900 is way too rich for my blood. Somebody lives there though. My buddy Brian lives about a block away and said that he's seen people in the house recently.

Still haven't forgotten about getting up with you Chris....just been up to my ass in alligators lately. Ive gotta slow down soon though.

Thats funny, the guy I work with that lives close by there is Brian, probably the same guy? Just let me know when things slow down for you and we'll get the stuff done on your truck.
