Since no one seemed to want them at the time, I dissected the seats pictured and stashed the tracks, Gave a set to a buddy and sold the drivers side on the parts board,
My buddy came over and asked. "how do these go on" we looked and figure out they were wrong for his seat.. Darn!!

Then sold the drivers tracks to a board member and just found out they did not fit his seats either.. hmmmm..

Does anyone know if they are different between the years like the bench seat tracks?? (bench seat 67/68 tracks are the same, 69/70 same, 71/72 etc..)

Been working on these trucks for over 30 years and am still amazed at what I learn new all the time!!

What are they out of? I know they can vary by vehicle. At least Panel tracks are different,I know for sure.

Those driver brackets look like the ones in my Panel.I can't see the pass ones well enough to tell but Panel Passenger seats were mounted with a bracket that had a pull pin in the rear to allow them to tilt the back and then flip forward.The front pass brackets were a hinged style to allow the flip.The back had a wingnut to allow it to tilt forward.

Just as a side note,the pass seat in the Panels is listed as an option,but every one I have ever seen had one in it and was listed on the SPID.

No, all utility buckets are not the same, as Tim stated....panels seem to sit a bit flatter to the floorboards, no rake in the seat. Plus, those seat bottoms will only mount up to the correct seat tracks. Seems like the differance is in the height of the rear mount of the seat track. I was going to drill the rivets out and just change the rear mount, but the width of the mount in differant to the seat bottom....trucks versus panels

If you need pics or demensions for the truck utility seats, lmk, as i have them in my blazer/jimmy. Might even have some spare parts laying around since i ran into the same problem youre having

All utility seats mount to the floorboard with a -+ 15" ctc hole

Your pass. side looks to have the hinged mount to allow it to tilt forward

These were out of a Blazer, I do know that panel trucks used a different passenger side front outer hinged mount than a burb (its taller due to the flat floor in a panel), Also I do know that 69/70 Blazers have a different passenger side rear mount/latch than 71/72's.
The problem with the passenger side mount off of these seats is they would not even bolt onto my buddies seat bottom.
Please, if possible post up pictures of your utility seats and tracks. I would like to learn the differences..

I will dig out another set of utility seats for a 71 Blazer I have and take some pics of those

The Panel mounts are longer,IIRC.

Hey Deland,I've seen single seat Panels and the passenger side floor is different. There is no bump up in the floor for the mount. My friend cut that area from a Suburban so he could mount a second seat in his Panel.

Believe it or not,on base Blazers and Jimmys the passenger seat,which would be the utility type,is an option

I only have a driver side Panel seat. Would a picture help?

I think you can tell the differance from the two types by the metal stamping around three sides...these are panel seats i believe

Would you happen to have any pictures of the tracks for that seat? Your bottom frame is definately different than mine. (The front mounting point)

those are the brackets that came with my '71 utility buckets on the drivers side. What I can't figure out is what flip bracket goes on that seat for the passengers side. I have seen the one with the lever in the back and the lever on the side, neither fit that seat. Did they have a flip bracket?
The flip bracket with the handle on the side fits my '70 blazer. The dimpled bracket is offset towards the passenger door. I will post pics tomorrow.

Does the track you have pictured also fit on the bare Panel seat frame?

What has me confused is I took both tracks off of the utility seats pictured in the first post and neither track fits on two different sets of utility seats.

1st picture: 1971 utility bucket with correct drivers side bracket. This bracket does not line up on my 1970 Blazer

2nd picture: location for dimpled bracket on 1970 Blazer

3rd picture: correct flip bracket for a 1970 Blazer. Does not fit on the 1971 seats pictured above

4th picture: this is the flip bracket that has the handle in the back. Does not fit the above seats either or the 1970 blazer.

Is there a flip bracket that fits these seats?

Dave, I do believe you flip bracket with the handle in the middle is for a sport bucket seat.

Guys, just for reference the flip handle bracket with the side hand that Dave pictured above is the passenger bracket that came off the seats pictured in the very first post. Does anyone have a bracket like that?

I think I am getting closer to figuring out the differences. Would it be possible for you to measure the bolt hole spacing from front to back so I can compare it with my 71 seats?

Guys.. so far I gather that 67-70 panels/burbs and 69/70 Blazers used the same seats, and 71/72 Blazers use a different one (All utility buckets that is)..
Does anyone have any pictures of 71/72 burb utility seat frames?

there is a set of utility buckets for sale on the Blazer board that show the brackets attached. Those brackets bolt to a '70 Blazer. He doesn't say what year they are though. Good pics though.

Dave, I asked him what they came out of. A 1970 Blazer.. looks like those are the ones you need.
Have you pulled back the upholstery on the bottom of your seats to see if they have the holes like the earlier seat frames?
