Re: the honda killer
Looks like the trucks ok!!! That looks more like a speed bump than a Honda. Glad everyone is ok.

Re: the honda killer
hate to sound negative, but I really hate these jacked trucks on the pavement as daily drivers, really they are super unsafe for everyone else, I personally think there should be bumper height restrictions in place for safety reasons.
if all vehicles had a bumper at the same height at their point of contact, while driving, it would surely be a lot more safe... imagine how you would have felt if you killed the guy... or if you had a daughter killed by some guy driving a monster truck becasue their crumple zones/ airbags would not work properly because the windows and cab area took all of the impact of the taller vehicle. these vehicles really belong off road imo.

Not to start a war. Same could be said about lowered, bagged, dropped vehicles. My stock height 4x4 dually is above the door handle on some bagged c-10's. Heck, my sister has a stock toyota Yarus, my bumper will hit glass on any side of that thing. |

Re: the honda killer
Most often oversteer is from too much go pedal, take it easy out there, it sounds like you were very lucky and the guy you hit even luckier.

Re: the honda killer
Not really, he was trying to talk about his truck. Ya'll hijacked it and took it another direction, which would belong in general. My suggestion is to start a new thread there if you guys wish to talk about safety regulations. (IMHO the entire argument doesn't hold water anyway. The only way to do such would be to off all muscle cars, classic cars etc and only use the same size and shape new ones)
Sorry your truck had an owie.. glad everyones ok.. |

Re: the honda killer
I'm confused, is this an ongoing build or project truck?

Re: the honda killer
Glad everyone's ok, glad the trucks ok. Hope he doesn't sue you. And hopefully next time you won't punch the gas and fishtail and lose control.

Re: the honda killer
Well the fender cup is pushed up and out. So we will need to bring it down and then hammer the cup back in then it should be ok again. Th bumper is pushed in and won't allow the cup to go down enough so we will have to bring it out a little bit before we can fix re fender but other then that he's ok.

Re: the honda killer
My first accident was in my dads 78. It had a 4" lift and 33's I shorted a dodge convertable about 18". Didn't hurt the truck at all. For me and mine, I would rather be in a bigger vehicle. These stupid "Smart" cars running around are an accident waiting to happen.

Re: the honda killer
I'm glad we still have the freedom to drive our trucks at whatever ride height we want. I hope that never changes.
