Alternator issues
Hey I am pegging out in the red on the meter on the dash and if it is at 50% then the belt squeals...have tightened all the way but still doing the same....new alternator and no other problems have happened...

What is the tension on the belt? Is the new alternator putting out any voltage? What is the voltage at idle on the battery? then at 2000 rpm at battery? If the belt is squealing its loose. Are you using the same belt as before the new alternator? Is the pulley the same size as the old alternator? Sorry for all the questions but they may help your situation.

What does the voltage measure at the battery?
If it is less than 13volts or so you can try the following:

cant the belt be too tight? seems like i had a similar problem once and it was because i had the belt pulled way too tight...

Too tight can put unnecessary strain on the bearings in your accessories, yes.
