My '85 K5 restoration bought it in '87

Been a good friend for 25 years so I restored it two years ago. Still having issues with rust but looks pretty good.

That's looking good! That white with red combo is really sharp. I helped a neighbor part out an '86 with that combo. The body looked fine, but it was rusted all up underneath. He didn't even realize it till a guy came to look at buying it who knew his K/5s. That's when he decided he'd do better parting it.
'85 was a good year. For some reason I see more of those than other years. I have a Jimmy and a Chevy Suburban (talk about rust) and both are still great drivers. I see you have the 83/84 headlight doors. I always like the stock 83/84 grilles best in the Chevys because that band is narrower and color-matched to the body...narrower fins in the grille work also.

Hey thankks guys, I'm still fighting rust issues. Eventually I'll need new Front Fenders inner and outer and the rear wheel wells are starting to go. But for now it looks great and I've got some other projects to do be for I can get back to the K5. Here's some pictures of previous work replacing the tail gate, cross bar and part of the rear floor.
