Spindle issue
When I was re-assembling my front end I somehow ended up cross threading one of my brake caliper bolts and the threads in the spindle are shot. I am thinking I may be able to get the correct tap and clean them up. Anyone have any experience with this or have any other ideas? 77 C10 2wd.

Re: Spindle issue
Yes I had the same issue, I didnt want to mess with it so I bought another set of spindles. I gave my damaged set to my neighbor, he took it to a machine shop to get it fixed. They drilled out 3/4in hole and either welded or pressed in an insert, using the other good spindle as a template or guide they drilled a new hole and tapped it. We then installed them on his truck and they fit perfect.
Oh yea it was $45 to fix it.
