Re: how bout some wagon rims?

I think they can look good in the right application. I'd take them over any new oversized silly-styled wheels that cost 6x as much that you can't keep clean. One things for sure...they are era-correct for the '70s:

Re: how bout some wagon rims?

When you said wagon rims I was reminded of this H2 hummer pic I saw a few years back.

Here's the write up that was on the net......

Hummer H3: Wagon Wheels
By Jay Williams - 20/October/2008

London — Introducing the all new H3 Amish Hummer.

It's not really Amish but this vehicle does have a certain 'wild west' look and feel about it.

The H3 pictured here was fitted with authentic wagon wheels (made from timber, rubber coated) and is a far cry from the usual 24-inch chrome wheels stuffed under the flared guards.

Technically this is 'art', but there must have been some pretty good workmanship on the wagon wheels for them to take the Hummer's 2.3 tonne weight.

The creator of this Frankenstein H3 goes by the name of Matthew Harrison, who clearly wanted to have the Hummer with the biggest rims in town.

It's been said that the Hummer H3 can be best described as a "mixture of art, engineering and motoring."

All I know is that it looks bonkers sitting on those wooden wagon wheels. But I suppose it is a natural progression, as wheel makers keep creating larger and larger alloy rims.

I'm not sure how the new wheels would effect the overall driveability of the H3 but there has been no comment on the off-road ability or cornering performance.

Ride quality would be harsh, no doubts about that.

The work entitled "Hummer" is on display courtesy of the Limoncello gallery in East London and was on show at the Zoo Art Fair which ran from October 17th-20th on Old Burlington Road.

Maybe we'll see more of this kind of 'ye-olde' car modification at the upcoming SEMA show in Las Vegas...

And the Hummer H2 itself.......

Re: how bout some wagon rims?

Just bought this truck recently and have heard some buzz about the wheels, people say they are rare and worth a lot, they are 8 lug 16.5" jackmans. Would someone be able to ball park me the worth of these wheels?

Re: how bout some wagon rims?

I think the White Spoke Wagons are the most timeless wheel ever made and look especially good on any square body, that is what is going on mine when i am done!
