steering column dims help!
I'm looking for some steering column measurements. Apparently '68-72 are different than '67... I need measurements off the one that has the collapsible shaft connected to the steering box.
The specific dimensions I need are from the base of the steering wheel (the outer collar just below the steering wheel) TO the beginning of the splined end that sticks through the firewall (there is a collar that connects it to the collapsible shaft I mentioned above). Then I need the dimension for the splined part that sticks out of that end. So far I've gotten two measurements and they were different enough that I'd like to get a few more from any of you out there with spare columns. Thanks in advance, Kenneth

this is the column that was in my 67, it's a 3spd. I'll measure it if it's the right type of column.

Thanks for the measurements. '67 may be different due to the lower section being fixed instead of collapsible. The first measurement of approx 32 1/2" is good, but the second measurement I need is of the short shaft that sticks out of the end of the thick part of the column and attaches to that secondary shaft. On yours, is this a separate piece? See attached pic below.
Thanks again for the effort, Kenneth

I took the bolt off below the spring and i can't seem to find anyway that they separate. It all looks like one piece. Sorry
