Have any of you done any custom door panels or repaired damaged ones, lets see some pictures or discussion of that.

Interior panels you say?
i just sanded mine, painted them and when they cracked i bolted a piece of sheet metal to the section.

mine turned to chalk and you could scratch it with fingernail. i sanded them down and sprayed them with rust-oleum bed liner from a spray can. it added the texture back to it. coast about $15 for bothe panels

Does that bed liner chafe your arms or is it very mild? I may do this for a friend and don't want something that feels odd or chalky or runs your arms off

if feels just like the textured plastic. i havent notice feeling rough at al but its stil cold so most of the time i have been wearing sweaters

That panel looks GREAT! I'm gonna do that on my BURB.....did you have to smooth out the area where the trim seats in?
I wonder if there might be a way to use that stuff on Dash Pads, too????

It comes in Tan as well - gonna try that on my Cheyenne Super come good weather.

That's because I was still working on my power window switches when I took the pictures.. After I was done I used screws at all four corners (top. Two under the red strip)

They are on there pretty good though.. I probably could have use some sort of velcro to just keep it from moving...

I sanded mine down, sprayed them with Bull Dog adhesion promoter and painted them with SEM vinyl paint. Turned out looking brand new. I had the lower carpet kick panels and the small door cloth insert recovered at an upholstery shop for $50.00. All I need now is new carpet and the interior will look pretty much new.

LMC, but I cleaned up the original inserts and re-installed them into the panel (to keep it from looking too plain).

Where didya find those window switches? They look like little joysticks.... My 19 y o would like those in his '85.

3QTRTONS, they are just toggle switches. You can find them at any auto parts place or Home depot. The only bad thing is that if you flick the switch one way and forget to return it to the center position, it will drain your battery! I just removed the stock rocker switch from the factory bezel and forced the toggle switch inside, secured everything in place and wired them up.

HTX is right. You can them just about anywhere. I'd suggest getting a three position switch that is momentary on for both up and down and off in the center. They're just like his switches but without the problem of draining your battery.
