hei confused
why the tree wires?i thought there was one for the tach.

Those wires connect the module to the coil and the 12 volt and tach wires. The tach terminal is next to the 12 volt wire you currently have connected.

Look on rthe cap, there will be three idents for the three wires. As you look at the ident from the side of the dist, there will be from left to right, TACH - BATT
TACH is the feed wire from the C post on the module, signal for firing - is a ground wire for the coil, and goes to a buss bar in the cap that direct connects to the coil in the cap, to ground it BATT is the power from both the ignition switch in the RUN position, and on early systems, START on the solenoid. Later systems use one wire from the ignition switch that has both RUN and START circuits in the switch. BATT terminal powers up both the coil and HEI module, from ignition switch/solenoid - grounds the coil only TACH feeds the firing signal from the HEI module to the coil, and tachometer, if used |
