Re: Best boneyards in the Twin Cities metro/ WI area???

I've had some success at U-Pull-r Parts in suburbs of the twin Cities, one location in East Bethel to the north, another in Rosemount to the south. They have had some trucks of our vintage at least, not specifically short-box, though.

It used to be easier to find trucks when that cash-for-clunkers deal was going on, but a lot of them from that era have already met the crusher.

I will be interested to see what other places anyone might add to the list. There are a few yards up toward Big Lake and St. Cloud that I have had interest in checking out, but haven't been to them yet.

There's Rohner's Auto Parts with 80 acres of cars in Willmar, and B & R Auto & Truck Salvage with 45 acres of cars in Mankato. Both of them are good places to look if you feel like traveling.

Rohners does, Windy Hill in New London has some, and they are on the way to Rohners.

Just went on a junkyard crawl two weeks ago. French Lake only had a few of our trucks. They where pretty picked over. Windy Hill was a waste of time. Rohners is the place to go. They have quite a few pretty complete trucks.
