6 volt windshield wiper motor
I have a 6 volt system in place now on a '54. It has the orig vacuum windshield wiper system. I will be changing the 6 volt system over to 12 volt later on but for now I need to get the wipers working. I would like to get the 12 volt wiper motor and have it working on the 6 volt system,,,,, is that possible??
When I turn the wipers on now they move open very slowly, but close decently fast. Is there a fix for this??? Thx

Re: 6 volt windshield wiper motor
I've taken vacuum wiper motors apart and cleaned and lubed them with Vaseline or light grease and had them work better but you risk tearing up the gasket. You might get away with squirting a couple shots of oil in the intake side of the wiper motor to see if that helps it work better.
