BackSpacing to the Future
Hey guys, so its time for me to get some wheels for my truck. Ive got 5 lug steelies on there now from an 80s C10. They are 15"s and bolt right up but they are rubbing on the bottom of the drop spindle and are pretty close to the lower control arm. I spaced them out and could probably make them work but I dont really want to go that route.
I have been looking at the Ridler 5 spokes but I wanted to know what back spacing people are running. Im thinking I want to go with 18x8 in the front and 20x10s in the rear. Any advice from prior knowledge?

Re: BackSpacing to the Future
I'm running 17 x 8 Centerlines with 4 1/2" backspace. The fronts rubbed on the aftermarket swaybar with the end-links in tight cornering. Put on stock style sway bar from Early Classic and all is OK.....
Edit: I am also running drop spindles. Last edited by newbe351; 03-14-2012 at 10:51 AM. Reason: add note |
