It is the third pic in this thread but the attatched bracket on the right hand side is no longer there. so what I have is the "L" shaped bracket that bolts to the waterneck housing part and the stud sticking out that bolts the manifold

Re: WTB 250 L6 Power steering brackets

I think blazer70 is going to buy the pulleys from my 250 thread. I have all sorts of bits and pieces from stuff and I seem to have some power steering parts but I think theres two diffrent kinds of set ups. Anyway heres some pictures,if I was sure what I was looking for I might find more. If you have any clear pictures it would be a help. Also I have a Nova w/250 that I'm pretty sure has power steering but its off site, gonna try and go look if it dosn't rain. Do you know if that will work?

Re: WTB 250 L6 Power steering brackets

I believe that any 250 setup for a non-integrated head (separate exhaust manifold) will work, however a 292 uses different pulley groove spacing. Do a search for 250 power steering in this forum and you will find many different threads with pics.

Re: WTB 250 L6 Power steering brackets

There were a lot different PS systems for non-int sixes. Several offsets on the brackets and pulleys to match. Some double pulleys on WP & Alt and different belt spacing.
The safest way to get PS that fits is to see it all installed on an engine like yours with the same crank belt grooves as yours. Just getting a set of brackets may not work.

Re: WTB 250 L6 Power steering brackets

I went to my other hiding spot for old Chevys today and was able to produce a complete set up from a 250 in what I believe was a 71 nova. I have the two grove balancer the two grove water pump pulley all the brackets and slides the P/S pump and the alternater with the two groove pulley and all the bolts even. Let me know, if your still looking I can PM you a price. Otherwise I will post it up in a new thread for sale.
