Is the SPID on the glove box door...should tell you if it came from the factory that way.
It sounds like it's a beast of a truck. Got any pics?

That depends. Does everything appear to look factory? You could order these trucks with just about any options you wanted.

Re: k30? reg cab 6.2 ac srw
it looks like factory but the rear frame wascut and a bumber added
but looks more like it was bent then a rack body. this truck is a tank it is a full 4 inch higher then my 86c20 and alot slower lol. have not done much driving with it yet as it was my grad present from me to me for tech school. has 150000 on the clock and the motor has less then 50,000 but needs a clutch and roters other then that it did the drive from where i bought in in az to my aprt with no problems at all and that was 200+ mile trip non stop and then had it shiped to my house in mass. |

The lack of fuel filler doors on the bed makes it non-original for 85. |

Re: k30? reg cab 6.2 ac srw
The bed is 73-78. That will only matter if you ever need to replace the tailgate. An '85 gate is a later design. Want to trade that beast for an '85 Jimmy 6.2 diesel? heh heh (seriously)

Re: k30? reg cab 6.2 ac srw
k i have to much money in it to trade it or sell it. i would have to get 5k for it and i have not done anything to it... yet. i love this truck and i also have two others the 86 c20 and a 80?? c30 roll back wrecker. that one is a mutt. 4wd cab 85 front clip and some 4wd front end parts. my plan for the k30 is a cummins swap when the 6.2 dies but i hope thats not for some time. cheng that truck you got is nice and clean. looking at the op on yours i would have to say mine has to be damn close to the same but now i have some thing to go by so thank you for that. thanks guys, mike

Re: k30? reg cab 6.2 ac srw
Yes, real K30 SRW. Probably had a utility body on it that was removed and a junkyard bed from 73-78 added.

Re: k30? reg cab 6.2 ac srw
^ That's a real good possibility right there, considering the fleet paint color and being a basic model.
I bet you do love it. It's a square body 4wd dream truck. At $5k you're right in the same range as my Jimmy! I'll leave you be and keep looking. I love my Jimmy and have all sorts of plans for it if I keep it. It's cool as beans now and it would be perfect to keep this for the play toy it is and get a K/30 SRW for work. That's the dream, but if I can only have one it should be the work truck. Have fun with it..I mean work...no fun.
