WTB recovery hooks & push bumpers for my 85 K-20
I just bought a 85 K-20 and though it shows recovery devices on the option sheet, there are none on the truck.
Also would like a set (2) of those push bumpers (dont know the texhnical term) that mount on the front bumper frame bolts so you can push another truck without damaging either one. Thanks Tim |

Re: WTB recovery hooks & push bumpers for my 85 K-20
I have a pair of the tow hooks. I'd sell them for $30. I guess they'd go in a large flat rate box...the one they call large but is square and taller. I'll include the nuts/bolts/washers. Let me know.
Do you want bumper guards? Is that what you're looking for? They mount at the bumper mounting bolts off the frame, are chrome with rubber faces? Here's a picture of my old '84 with what I'm talking about:

That would be great! Just p.m. me and let me know details and I will get you paid.
Yes, just like your picture! This way if I need to puch on anything I can keep it away from the grille. Whatever you called them, that is what I am looking for also. Thanks so much for your help! Tim |

Re: WTB recovery hooks & push bumpers for my 85 K-20
Tim,just to be clear I only have the hooks. I was just trying to help make it clear that bumper guards are what you want so anyone who has some could reply. Sorry to get your hopes up. Back when I had that truck I strolled into the dealer and picked up a set for cheap. Them was the days,eh?
I'd take $45 shipped for the hooks w/hardware. They're still on my '91 Suburban (correct) and I assume the hardware will cooperate.

Re: WTB recovery hooks & push bumpers for my 85 K-20
Yes that will be perfect. I am sure your hooks and hardware will work fine. Having a brother who runs a pattern shop never hurts either....
I was following you on the push guards. Yes I remember well going to the dealer to buy replacement 69-72 grilles, trim and about any other part a guy wanted. Those WERE the days. I think I have bought stuff from you before but better pm me your info and I will get the $$ off to you right away. |

Ok Tim. I'm sure these are correct. They are the same as on that '84 I had and the '85 Jimmy and '85 Suburban I have now.

Hey Rich!
Thanks again for thinking of me on these. Remember to come grab the big C-30 and get something for all that scrap steel. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you any time. Tim |

Re: WTB recovery hooks & push bumpers for my 85 K-20
Dont need the recovery hooks as I got those from Tim but I could still use push bumpers for my 85 if you still have em. The ones Rich had off the 80 wouldnt fit as Tim predicted.

Re: WTB recovery hooks & push bumpers for my 85 K-20
Just to be sure im following you correctly are these the 81-87 style tow hooks? I have an 1986 K1500, i believe the k-20 and k-15 tow hooks were the same right?
