Finally got her home....

After a few weeks of waiting finally got her home... Ended up having to tow it home the carb went to **** but already ordered a BG Road Demon carb for it... After the carb goes on I can drive her needs body work and and some rust repair but have to say not as bas as I thought it was going to be... First thing I have to do is clean the garage so I can fit her in there lol...

Nice GMC! Looking at the firewall and a bit of the interior, looks like a purple/blue. What does the spid say?

Re: Finally got her home....

Congratulations on your new purchase. I love the 4 eyes. Thats to bad about the SPID being gone. Your truck seems to have some nice options allready.

What happened with the carb? I'm also curious where you found this little gem at?

Haslet is not too far from Denton.

Good luck!

Re: Finally got her home....

Check the frame VIN too. You have a high hump cab, you should probably (not 100%) have a low hump in a 2wd with auto trans. Of course someone could have cut the low hump out and bolted a high hump in place. It's very possible someone swapped that cab at one time. You may have a shortened frame, or a frame that isn't original to the cab. Not that it's a big deal, a lot of parts have been swapped around after 40 years.
The doors are 71 or earlier. Grille is 71 or 72. Mirror is on the windshield which should be 72. Are there holes in the top of the cab from a rearview mirror bracket?

Re: Finally got her home....

LIL Hoodlum- My buddy I work with had been telling me about it for over a year his friend had been wanting to sell it but changed his mind... But finally he gave in and sold it to me, It was in Ft. Worth... The carb just needs a rebuild but I dont like edelbrock carbs could never get them to run correctly.. So I ordered a BG Road Demon carb..

Re: Finally got her home....

Interesting little truck. I sure like the interior color combo even in its present ragged state.
